Over the next few months, the Walker Begley team will be taking part in four fundraising events for St Rocco’s Hospice, a charity which provides specialist care and support across Warrington and aims to help those who are coping with a life-limiting illness. This year we really wanted to challenge ourselves and raise as much as possible for this fantastic local charity. The Walker Begley ladies have already taken part in the St. Rocco’s Starlight Walk but we still have three more exciting fundraising events to go in the next few months…
Snowdon by night
This Saturday Steven Fisher and Kevin Walker and their wives will be climbing Snowdon, the biggest mountain in England and Wales through the night. The team will start walking at 12am from Llanberis.
Practice walks have taken place so we have no doubt they will complete this challenge and the walk will be a success!
Dragon Boat Race
After the success of last year, the Walker Begley team cannot wait to compete in the Dragon boat Race again this year on Sunday 30th July. The race will take place on the River Mersey at Warrington Rowing Club. Not only was last year’s race great fun, we also managed to raise a substantial amount for St Rocco’s Hospice.
Colour run
On Monday 28th August, the Walker Begley team will be taking part in a 3km Colour Run for St. Rocco’s. The run will take place at Walton Hall & Gardens and will be a great family day out for a range of ages and fitness levels.
